About This Project

A Contemporary Flavor for Boston Penthouse

PROBLEM
Our clients found the perfect Penthouse on Beacon Street with gorgeous views the Charles River, except for the fact that they disliked all of the Interior Architecture and Design. As a former client, they trusted Lee Kimball to design and build a home that represented their personality and lifestyle.
SOLUTION
We started with a focus on the common areas that included the living room and the undefined common area on the upper level. In the living room, we transformed an old brick fireplace into a brilliant focal point with a sleek horizontal electric fireplace and custom surround. On the upper level, we designed three distinct functional spaces, a complete wet bar featuring Sub-Zero appliances and a Quartz waterfall bar top, a comfortable seating area and an enclosed office space. The second phase of the project included the kitchen and master bathroom. A redesigned foyer allowed us to add 25% more square footage to the kitchen and a private entryway with an additional 5’ closet to the master bedroom. Finally, by eliminating the upper portion of the walls in the kitchen, the homeowners were able to capitalize on the view from every inch of the first level.
