Andover Home Transformation

Our client was ready to downsize with her children grown and flown but wanted to stay in the community she grew to love after 25 years of raising her family there. Her dream was to find a home closer to the center of town where she could walk to the farmer’s market, meet friends for coffee, stay connected to the town and be in a neighborhood setting to continue to experience the joys of younger families.
She found a small ranch with potential in the perfect location and then partnered with Lee Kimball to create a vision for the home that would carry her through retirement. The new design was executed in two phases. Phase one included an open design with a new kitchen, dining area and living room including a new front vestibule, gas fireplace and all new windows. The guest bath was also renovated allowing the client to move in and sell the larger family home. In phase two Lee Kimball expanded the master suite and added a two-car garage. The newly renovated home accommodates visits from her children and friends but remain cozy and comfortable. Some of the client’s favorite features are the gas fireplace in the master bedroom and French doors leading out to her new bluestone patio and hot tub. She also enjoys the soaking tub and large door-less shower in the master bath and has a wonderful walk-in closet. Living on a single level, low maintenance home helps to simplify life and frees her up to do more of what she loves, like traveling more often. And there is nothing like the feeling of returning home to a house that feels like a vacation every day.
