Within the larger second-floor expansion and exterior renovation, our client envisioned a bathroom retreat where she could soak away the day’s stress and bask in the luxury of a spa setting without leaving her home. We, of course, were happy to make her vision a reality.
Inspired by the homeowner’s interests and tastes, we brought to life a happy and inviting space with the comforts of a spa featuring unique, personal style touches and modern adaptations of traditional fixtures.
Natural light streams in from the back of the room, providing a bright and cheery backdrop for the bathroom’s showpiece – a large soaking tub with a sleek matte black tub filler faucet. Floating shelves over the tub and toilet tie in with the light wood tones of the vanity and provide an opportunity for easily accessible storage – or even some lush greenery for that added touch.
The high-contrast black and white styling of the shower is balanced with accent walls of Benjamin Moore: Philipsburg Blue (HC-159) and the warm wood vanity and shelves. In another subtle touch, wall-mounted cross bar handle faucets and a floating vanity cabinet perfectly marry modern adaptations of traditional elements to create this approachable, transitional aesthetic.
